The Organisation

The organisation is a family owned and independent company. They are known worldwide as a high quality battery producer because of their specialized engineering, knowledge and high quality product over the last years. These batteries that they produce are specially developed according to the wishes and needs of the customer. With offices all over the world with locations such as The Netherlands, France, Germany, Scandinavia and China they are known all over the world. Some examples where their product is being used in are: E-Bikes, Electric cars, E-steps, Automatic guided vehicles and Automotive Applications. The batteries they produce are used in a variety of markets, at home and abroad.

Examples of projects

As mentioned, the organisation is active in different kind of fields. The main field is urban mobility: think about the development of Li-ion battery technology for all kind electric vehicles which are used in big cities such as an E-bike, an E-Step etc. A good battery design is important for the manufacturability, safety and battery life. They develop these batteries for new applications where these aspects are the most important.

As an engineer you will be working on the BMS design or parts with the focus on Hard- and / or Firmware. You will be working closely with your colleagues to ensure alignment with the final application. You will also be handling the validation tests for the products that you have been working on. Also you have to handle questions from production regarding the BMS.

Currently there is a good mix of different experience in the development team with 8 developers. These are all experts in the field of development in C, Python and have experience with validation of embedded Systems.

Requirements
  • Minimum BSc or MSc obtained; Electrical engineering
  • 0 years experience is possible, (first job)
  • Fluent in English;
  • Hardware development (microcontrollers, MOSFETs, power designs, CAN)
  • Hardware design in Altium
  • Firmware development in C
  • Software Design in Python
  • Experience in validation of Embedded systems
