The Organization

This international cleantech scale-up currently has 5 offices in different countries. They see climate change as the biggest challenge of this generation and were more than eagier to find a solution to fight this. Therefore, they came up with a software solution that accelarates the transition to a clean and sustainable energy system.

Their technology enables appliances to become an integral part of balancing the grid in a sustainable way. Therefore, it allows partners who use their technology to generate revenue and reduce their carbon footprint at the same time.

As the organisation is growing tremendously, they are looking for talented and green-minded Java Software Engineers who want to build the future of energy systems together!

The Team

You will become part of an international team spread across the globe. Together you will be working to accelerate the transition to a carbon-free energy system. Currently the team consists of 12 Developers which they are growing this year by almost 15 more! You will be given the opportunity to work with like minded people who all want to contribute a sustainable world.

The CTO has over 20 years of experience in software development. His experience ranges from coding to setting up infrastructure to managing teams to product management in various rapidly growing engineering organizations.

Your Role

As a Java Software Engineer you will focus on the full life cycle of development, starting with the technical design and ending with deploying it to production environment. This will be a technically challenging role as the software platform is completely built in-house from the ground up.

You will be identifying and improving parts of the platform to make it more scalable, fast and secure. While doing this, you will be collaborating across teams and time zones to make things happen.

As an engineer you need to be passionate about problem solving and proactive, contributing ideas to their product development roadmap

Requirements

• HBO/WO Werkdenkniveau
• 2+ jaar work experience in Java
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
